The structural inheritance of the projective has given way to new experiments of shape, juxtaposition and as yet unnamed forces. What now eclipses or brings forward this important formal work?

Welcome to Projectivisms. This symposium will be a gathering of early career researchers, postgraduate students, artists, poets and performers. This event is free and open to the public. Please register to attend.

We are pleased to announce the following updates:

-Poet Frances Presley will be giving a creative workshop and reading
-Cardiff-based composers Daniel-Wyn Jones and Richard McReynolds will be performing an original piece for the symposium
-Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Mandy Bloomfield
-Poet Steven Hitchins will be hosting a poetry walk on Saturday, May 19, as part of the symposium, continuing his Canalchemy series
Black Mountain 2: a celebration of Black Mountain College USA (1933 – 1957) takes place the following weekend on May 26 and 27 in the Black Mountains of Powys, Wales. A full weekend exploration and celebration of the work, philosophy and ongoing influence of that remarkable, mid-twentieth century educational and multi-genre artistic experimental venture.
